Allied Wire and Cable Blog

Every year at our golf outing, AWC raises money for the Philadelphia chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  This annual tradition has become a favorite habit of everyone here at Allied Wire and Cable. 

With the funds raised from our 2007 outing, AWC was able to make the wish of one little boy come true.  Six-year-old Curtis had his hopes fulfilled with a dream vacation to Disney World.  Curtis and his family spent a week enjoying all the thrills and experiences the park has to offer.

We at AWC continue to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation in their pursuit of bringing hope and strength to children with life-threatening medical conditions.  For more information on Make-A-Wish visit www.philadelphia.wish.org. 

Construction for Allied Wire’s new International Headquarters building is quickly underway.  

Since the groundbreaking in August, the outside of the building has come a long way.  The roof is in place, the front wall of the building is being constructed and the pavement around the building is set down. 

The inside of the building has progressed according to plan as well.  Workers are currently pouring concrete on floors and putting the framing up.  All floor plans have been finalized.

As of right now, AWC is on schedule to move into the building Christmas week.
